The Pak-Saudi Business Forum 2024 was held in Islamabad, where Jam Kamal Khan expressed his commitment to further strengthening trade relations between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
Welcoming the Saudi delegation led by Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid Al-Falih, he mentioned that the trade volume between the two countries stands at $5.12 billion, with Pakistani exports accounting for only 2% of this. He emphasized the need to increase Pakistani exports to Saudi Arabia, especially in sectors like construction, IT, and agriculture.
The Ministry of Commerce has developed a comprehensive business plan to boost trade with Saudi Arabia, and a single-country exhibition will be held in Jeddah in 2025. There are vast opportunities for Pakistani companies in the energy, engineering, and textile sectors. A well-crafted strategy is essential to enhance the reach of Pakistani products in the Saudi market, and promoting trade between the two countries is crucial for sustainable development.
